Alma Dean Hopkins Davis, 73, of 407 Windbrooke Circle, died Oct. 3, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital.A native of Danville, Va., daughter of the late Rev. Morris O. and Brinnie Burrell Hopkins, she was retired from sales and was a member of Praise Cathedral.Surviving are her husband, James C. Davis Jr. of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia D. and Dominick A. Garcia of Baltimore, Md.; a son, James C. Davis III of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Pam McElrath of Greenville; and two grandchildren, Drew and Davis Garcia.Mrs. Davis was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Kathryn D. Cornell.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Wood Mortuary, conducted by Pastor Jerry Madden. Burial will follow in Springwood Cemetery, Greenville.The family is at the home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Praise Cathedral, 3390 Brushy Creek Road, Greer, SC 29651.
