Albert B. Anderson, 89, of Bayville, N.J., died peacefully on Aug. 2, 2014. Visiting hours will be on Monday, Aug. 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral is on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home before celebrating an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville 08721. Cremation will be private. Born in Wharton, N.J., Mr. Anderson moved to the Union County, N.J., area before moving to Bayville 22 years ago. He retired from the Exxon Research Facility, graphic arts department, in Linden, N.J. Mr. Anderson proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Tank Destroyer Battalion in the European Theater during World War II. He was a recipient of both the Silver Star and the Purple Heart for his valor in action and wounds received in battle. His wife, Dorothy, predeceased him in 2011. Surviving are his two step-sons, Barry E. Javick and Robert Javick; two grandchildren, Sean Javick and Kayleigh Dolinski. Also surviving is Dorothy's God Child, Bernadette Javick.
