JOHN HENRY FALLON Age 86, of Wellington, FL, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2003. He was formerly of Loudonville, NY. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Jennie S. Fallon; sons: John (Maria), Dr. James (Diane), Peter, Thomas, and Mark (Terri); daughter, Carol (Dr. Greg) Morra; brother, Robert Fallon; 16 loving grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. John was born in 1917, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Harry C. Fallon of Troy, NY. As a teenager, he played semi-professional football and minor league baseball. His acuity at games of chance earned him the moniker "Doc" at a very early age. He loved to fish and golf. He graduated from Union College, NY with a degree in Pharmacy and was the proprietor of the Troy Drug Co. and Fallon Pharmacy until he retired to Wellington, FL in 1987. During W.W.II, he dutifully served in the U.S. Army. John was a member of the Elks, the Wellington Club, and the Sons of the American Revolution. His erudition encompassed medicine, science, history, and English Literature. John Henry lived a full life with many wonderful friends and a prolific family including many nieces and nephews who loved and revered him. He died the way he lived; with the heart of a lion and all of his considerable wit active and intact. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 13, 2003 at the Funeral Home.
