DAVIS, ADA IRENE - age 99, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, July 6th, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved and served the Lord. We will all miss her gentle heart and sweet smile. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 5th, 1915, to the late George W. and Janie M. Williams. Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by husband, Raymond Davis, Sr.; siblings, Janie Wertz, George J. Williams, and Wilton C. Williams; sister-in-law, Marguerite Williams; and grandson, Jeffrey G. W. Davis. She is survived by sons, Raymond P. Davis, Jr., and Timothy E. Davis, Sr. and wife Deborah S. Davis; grandchildren, Michele Trivette, Raymond P. Davis, III, Brent M. Davis, Timothy E. Davis, Jr., Michelle F. Davis and Bobbie Jo Irene Davis; seven great grandchildren; and Deborah M. Davis. "Gma" was a Proverbs 31 woman, assisting wherever she was needed, never saying no to God's need for her to serve, she represented unconditional love toward everyone.
