SMYTH, Yvonne Elizabeth (nee Larbalestier) August 8, 1935 – Calgary, ABJanuary 26, 2015 – Calgary, ABWith great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Mother and beloved wife of the late Donald Smyth. Yvonne Elizabeth Smyth passed in Calgary on January 26, 2015 at the age of 79 years. Yvonne was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta where she attended St. Mary's school. Growing up she spent summers at her much loved family cabin on Sylvan Lake. She went on to raise her own family in Calgary as well. She was dedicated to her husband and children, showering them with witty and caring love. She loved the outdoors and spent time travelling and camping in the summers and skiing in the winters exposing her children to the wonders around us. Later, wonderful memories were formed at the family cabin in Windermere, where days were spent at the beach and evenings were filled with cards and games and laughter and sunsets. Yvonne will be dearly missed by her children; Larry, Susan (Mark),Cathy (Pat),Tricia (Dan); grandchildren Tyler, Joshua, John James, Eric and Ian; sister Marie Sandford as well as many other extended family members and friends. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband of 54 years in October 2013. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Parish at 711- 37 St N.W.
