LEONARD, Yvette Yolande - 77, Halifax, died February 6, 2004, at her residence. Born in Montjoli, Que., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Yvonne (Ross) Lavoie. She was active in the choir and sang solos in her church, and also a junior choir director at First Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling to the country, and being outdoors in the summer. Surviving are her daughters, Diane Sylvain and Shirley Sylvain, both of Montreal; Annette Leonard, Lake Echo; sons, Timothy Leonard, Aylesford; Thomas and Christopher, both of Halifax; sisters, Theresa Riggle, Bedford; Shirley Delainey, Halifax; brothers, Louie Lavoie, Halifax; Morris, Montreal; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William Alexander Leonard; son, William Alexander Leonard Jr.; sisters, Jeanette Connolly, Shirley Lavoie; brother, Guy Lavoie. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home, 2032 Robie St., Halifax. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church, Halifax, Rev. John Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
