POWNAL -- Funeral services for Mrs. Yvette M. DuBois were held Friday, April 25, 2003 from Our Lady of Lourdes Church in North Pownal, where the liturgy of Christian death and burial was celebrated by the Rev. Robert W. Lozinski.Organist was Donald McMahon and soloist was Monica Murray. Hymns offered during the service were “Ave Maria,” “Be Not Afraid,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Here I Am Lord.” Her daughter and son, Eleanor LaBonte and Rene J. DeBois placed the pall on Mrs. DuBois casket.Wilford LaBonte, a son-in-law, placed a wooden cross on the pall. A granddaughter, Marie Baker, offered scriptural readings from the Old and New Testament. Granddaughters-in-law, Martha LaBonte and Wendy LaBonte, presented the Offertory Gifts. Eucharist ministers were Kathy Jelley and Ellen Tournabene. Acolyte was Timothy Baker, a great grandson.Bearers were grandsons, Bruce DuBois, Andrew LaBonte, Joseph LaBonte, Michael LaBonte, Steven LaBonte and Christopher Baker.A prayer service at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home preceded the funeral mass.The Rev. Vincent J. Coppola, c. s. c., associate pastor of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church offered the Wake Service at the funeral home Friday evening.Burial took place in the family lot in Oak Hill Cemetery, Pownal, with Father Lozinski offering the committal prayers.Mrs. DuBois, widow of Harvey E. DuBois, a resident of Northwest Hill Road, in Pownal, died April 22 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness.Arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
