Yvette A. Deschenes of Dracut, formerly of "Little Canada" DRACUT Yvette A. (Desjardins) Deschenes, age 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11th, 2009 at her home in Dracut surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Donald T. Deschenes with whom she celebrated their 55th anniversary on June 26th. Yvette was born in Lowell on January 11, 1935, a daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Coache) Desjardins. She resided in Dracut since 1964 where she was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish and was formerly of "Little Canada" in Lowell. Yvette enjoyed playing cards with her family, bingo and trips to Foxwoods with her husband, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by a son, Donald G. Deschenes of Tyngsboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan Y. and Donald M. Ferchak of Dracut; a daughter-in-law, Brenda A. (Pitre) Deschenes of Hudson, NH, who was married to her son, the late Paul A. Deschenes. She leaves six grandchildren whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spending much time with. They include Adam, Marc and Michael Ferchak, Kenneth and Deana Deschenes, and Kerri Deschenes. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and George Beland of Lowell; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Roger Desjardins and Paul and Marylou Desjardins, all of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Claire Desjardins of Salem, NH; also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George Desjardins DESCHENES Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Tuesday, July 14, from 4 to 8 P.M. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Dracut. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
