KING, Winnifred Elsie (Winnie) Passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2002 surrounded by love, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late James William (Bill) King (2001), dearest mother of Bob (Caren) of London, Linda Warren (Cambridge) and Janis Gilks (Hazen) Cambridge. Kindest and most loving Nanny to Nancy and Susan Gilks. Special sister to Lloyd Duncan (Marge) Oakville, stepsister of Willie Duncan, Dorothy Hicks (Murray) and Bruce Duncan (Joan). Dear sister-in-law to Bud King (Irene) Prescott, Clarence King (Jean) Prescott, John King (Jean) Montreal, Eunice King (Kingston), Joyce (Ken) Baynaham (Prescott). Winnie was a remarkable woman who was loved by all who knew her. She was strong, courageous, loving, thoughtful, gentle and giving. She touched so many in her life with her kind heart, her ready smile and her beautiful big blue eyes. She will be sadly missed by many nephews and nieces, especially Barb and Geoff Hooper (Deep River). Visitation for Winnie will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge (519) 658-9366. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow.
