WILMA LEE ALLIGOOD WALKER, 87Polk Co. School Board WAHNETA - Mrs. Wilma Lee Alligood Walker, age 87, died of heart failure Tuesday (Dec. 30, 2008) at home. Born in Hamilton Co., Florida, on Sept. 20, 1921, she came to Wahneta from Jasper, FL., in 1944. She was a cafeteria worker for the Polk County School Board, and a member of Wahneta Baptist Church. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence F. Walker, and son Lamar Alligood. She is survived by her son James L. Walker, Ft. Meade; daughter Luvina Wilson, Wahneta; sisters Janie Colvin, Auburndale, Willia Mae Lindsey, Wahneta; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Crisp-Coon Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Wahneta. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park, Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or Good Shepherd Hospice.
