LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mrs. Willie Mae Maddox Jones, of 2631 Elberton Hwy., entered into rest on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. at New Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Matthew Hardin, Rev. Roy D. Andrews, and Rev. Franklin Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Jones was a native of Lincoln County and a member of New Tabernacle Baptist Church. Survivors are one daughter, Ernestine Jones Simmons (George), Lincolnton, Ga.; three sons, Elder Marvin Jones, Sr. (Barbara), Augusta, Ga., Jesse Jones (Florann), Athens, Ga., and William L. Jones, Lincolnton, Ga.; one devoted sister, Bertha Maddox Ellis (William), Lincolnton, Ga.; two brothers, Aaron Maddox (Bessie), Washington, Ga. and Roy Maddox, Brooklyn, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren, George T. (Bam) Simmons, Jr., Alma P. Simmons, Jennifer A. Maldonado Dorsey, Lizandrea D. Jones, Marvin Jones, Jr., Adrian Jones Ruiz, Devin L. Jones, Kevin L. Jones, Tamy T. Greene, Tameka Barksdale, Laverne Jones, Travis R. Jones, and Leslie Starks; one daughter-in-law, Jacqueline C. Jones; 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
