-> Willie Mae "Sister" Jones, 79, died January 4, 2004 at the home of her daughter under hospice care. She was born in Savannah and was a homemaker. She was a former member of First Mount Bethel Baptist Church for over 60 years where she served on various auxiliaries. She is currently a member of Alpha and Omega ministries. She is preceded in death by her husband, George S. Jones. Survivors: daughters, Shelia Douglas (Hollis), Chester, PA, Sharon Floyd and Cassandra Harris both of Savannah, GA; son, Avon S. Jones, Savannah, GA; sister, Beatrice Simmons, Savannah, GA; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
