Willie Lois Gaines Jones, 78, of 329 Kay Drive, died Thursday, May 23, 2002 at the home of her son following a period of declining health. Born in Hart County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Holmes Gaines. Mrs. Jones was a member of Crosswell Apostolic Church and a member of Georges Creek Royal Circle. Surviving are a daughter, Doris J. Massey and husband, Joe, of Greenville; sons, David Jones and wife, Shirley, and Jim T. "Tommy" Jones and wife, Frances, all of Easley; sisters, Mary Reynolds of Greenville and Sallie Gaines of Hartwell, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Henry Walton Jones Jr.; her former husband, Henry Walton Jones, Sr.; one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with the Rev. Ann Smith and the Rev. Larry S. Green officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley. Family members are at the home of David and Shirley Jones, 341 Kay Drive.
