<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->William Thomas (Tom) CoughlinWilliam Thomas Coughlin (Tom), age 84 of Kingwood, TX, passed away Monday March 31, 2014 peacefully at home, surrounded by his children after a lengthy illness.He was born on March 25, 1930 in Asheville, NC. He served two tours of duty in the Korean War, earning two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. From 1977-1983 he was Manager of Dabney's Furniture Store, and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Jackson, TN. He was active in the Rotary Club, Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Jackson Golf and Country Club, and the Jackson Downtown Development group. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Felthaus Coughlin and Alston Patrick Coughlin, and brother, John Patrick Coughlin, and his wife, Cathy Fern Coughlin.He is survived by his children, Tommy Coughlin (Anne), Pat Coughlin (Jackie), Catherine Cassell (Chester), Mary Ann Tremblay (Jim), Kellye Waller (Dayton), Laura Burkett (John), Elizabeth Methvin (Tim), and thirteen grandchildren.The family will hold a service at a later date.
