->FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - William "Bill" Peters passed away in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on March 11, 2014. He was the son of Franklin and Jane Peters.Those who knew Bill will remember him as a great cook, connoisseur of wines and an adventurest. He loved a good cigar, a good joke and arguably the world's best conversationalist. He would help anyone at any time and enjoyed his American Tug "Monkey Girl" that he and Laura rode along the Florida coast to Maine and Canada. He was known to have three motorcycles at the same time. He was an appraiser in the Bangor area and work at HUD for most of his professional career.Surviving is his wife and constant companion, Laura; stepson, Aaron Richards; and stepdaughter, Nicole Richards.Instead of flowers, gifts may be made in his name to the Penobscot Conservation Club, P.O.
