Born May 18, 1927, Bill was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his daughter Margaret R. Peters, sons Christopher, Michael and William Peters, and fifteen grandchildren. He was a World War II veteran and worked for FW Woolworth's for 25 years before moving to Florida in 1974. As a Floridian, he owned and successfully operated the Tre-asure Island Motel for 30 years, which he always said were his happiest days. Married to Marie Rose Peters for 61 years, he admired her quick wit and strong sense of family. Marie passed away in 2012. Together, they owned a lake house in St. Germain, WI where they would like to go on vacation with their family. Bill was a very dependable, kind, patient man and he will be missed greatly. Visitation for friends and family will be from 5-7PM Friday, March 28, 2014 at David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. A private service for the family will follow at 7PM.
