WHITE, WILLIAM JAMES, 61Passed away on Tuesday, August 26th at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville. A long time resident of Jacksonville FL, he moved to Hawthorne ten years ago. He had a passionate love for his Catholic faith, family and country. He was wounded in Vietnam and spent 2 years in Walter Reed Army Hospital. After being discharged he married Karen (Hutto) and they had five children. Bill was a Scout leader at San Jose Catholic Church, a soccer coach, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Transplant Recipient International Organization. He is the financial manager for Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church and for the past 4 years has been working tirelessly on their building fund. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Karen; sons, Brian (Brenda), Zachary (Elizabeth), Nathan and Brandon; daughter, Rebecca; step mother, Alyce; brothers, Robert Sr. and Fred along with a large and loving extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Hwy 301 South, Hawthorne, Family will receive friends at WILLIAMS-THOMAS HAWTHORNE FUNERAL HOME, US HWY 301 SOUTH AT LAKE AVENUE, Friday, August 29,2008,5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to St. Philip Neri's Building Fund, P.O.
