William James Mr. Malone was a native of Cherokee, Ala., and resident of Tuscumbia for 38 years. He was retired after 35 years of service from Muscle Shoals Minerals and was a member of First Baptist Church of Colbert Heights and an honorary member of the United Steelworkers Union.He is survived by his wife, Ruby Malone; daughters, Glinda McDougal, of Tuscumbia, Lisa Tatum, of Smyrna, Tenn., Teresa Long, of Russellville; half brothers, Michael Malone, Muscle Shoals, Jimmy Malone, of London, Ohio; sister, Willa Dean Villwock, of Newbern, N.C.; and five grandchildren.Pallbearers are Phillip McDougal, Dale Tatum, Tim Long, P.J. McDougal, Adam McDougal and Charles Spires.Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
