HARRINGTON, Dr. William Harvey, Lt. Col. Passed away at home at 8:30 am Sunday Morning July 24, 2005 in the arms of his beloved son Barry with his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Merina standing by. Bill enjoyed a long and full life. He excelled in a long military career; coming up through the ranks, he earned the distinguished honour of LT. Col. He was decorated in two wars and best known for his endless caring and sense of humour. For the last 25 years, Bill resided in Dean Park, Sidney. He is remembered for his everlasting love affair with his late wife Marion, his neverending hospitality for his many friends and neighbours and his unusally kind heart that exhibited itself in his tireless concern and caring for the wild birds, racoons and feral cats that he tended to daily. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the nurses, counselors and doctors of the Victoria Hospice and the home support workers of Beacon Home Support. Thank you for your kind caring and professionalism. You were there for us. As Bill requested, an Irish Wake in Celebration of his life, will be held at the family home on Sunday, July 31, 2005 at 1:00 pm.
