William Edward "Eddie" Jackson was born Feb. 16, 1957. He departed this life on July 23, 2009. He was born to mother, Earnestine Jackson and father, the late William Jackson. He attended Glenwood School and Winder-Barrow High School and went on to college to be all that he could be. He was an employee of SKC, Inc. in Covington, Ga. for many years, where he was happy to be. When he was in ICU, he was always worried about his job. Eddie had love for everybody. He tried to find good in everyone, no matter who you were. He didn't judge the good or the bad. He was always willing to help anybody in need. He leaves to cherish two brothers and one sister, Eugene (Peggy) Jackson and Garry Jackson, both of Athens, Debra Valentine of North Carolina; a half-sister, Eula Blackwell; and a special friend Patricia Hudson of Bethlehem; four aunts, Mildred Damons, Gussie Dunkin, Annie Ree Reddish, Maryln Hinton; two uncles, John (Modene) Thrasher and James (Beatrice) Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; the CEO, managers, supervisors and coworkers of SKI, Inc. and members of the Prestige Club. Funeral Services were Monday, July 27, at 2:30 p.m. at Gum Springs Baptist Church in Jefferson with interment following in the church cemetery. Eberhart & Son Mortuary had charge of the service.
