Ed Brown SPARTANBURG, SC-- William Edward Brown, Sr., 73, of 735 Springhill Avenue, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Walter B. and Mary Aileen Johnson Brown. He was retired from UPS, a US Army Veteran of the 43rd Artillery of Fedricktown, PA, a lifetime charter member of the Whitney Masonic Lodge #264, a Hejaz Shriner, member of Teamsters Union Local #28 and Temple Independent Methodist Church. He enjoyed building and racing go carts with his son Eddie and going to Clemson football games and tailgating with his son Steven. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sara Jane Webber Brown; sons, William Edward Brown, Jr. and wife Teresa and Steven Douglas Brown and wife Sherri; brother, Ralph H. Brown of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Jami Lynn, Jeremy, Chandler, Spencer Brown, and Heath McCraw and his wife Amber; and great-granddaughter, Addison Grace McCraw. He was predeceased by two brothers, J.W. and Donald Brown. Visitation will be held from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Eggers Funeral Home, Boiling Springs. Masonic rights will be held prior to the visitation at 6:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 1, 2011, at Eggers Funeral Chapel officiated by the Rev. Rex Keaton and the Rev. Phil Welchel. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park with military rites.
