William Charles Mitchell Sr. of Haskell, N.J., died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, five days before his 77th birthday. Funeral services will be at the D'Agostino Funeral Home, 881 Ringwood Ave., Haskell, N.J., on Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Butler, N.J. Visiting is Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. only. Bill was born in Mahanoy City, Pa., and grew up in both Mahanoy City and Paterson, N.J., before moving to Haskell in 1961. He had served in the Army National Guard and was the founder and owner/operator of All-Bright Rug Cleaning Company from 1955 to the early 2000s. Bill was the beloved husband for 55 years of Joan (Courter) Mitchell; father of Dr. William C. Mitchell Jr. of Haskell; brother of Geraldine Sloginski of Butler, N.J., and the late Charles Mitchell; son of the late William J. Mitchell and the late Eleanor Wisher Mitchell; uncle to 13 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and -nephews.
