HURLEY _ William Charles It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Father on Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Bill was born on April 9, 1922 in Rhondda, Wales. During World War II he served in the RAF in North Africa and Italy. After the war he met his future wife Vera, they married in 1949 and emigrated to Canada to start a family and new life. He worked with the CPR Police for 15 years during the 1950's and 60's, on the Black Ball Ferrys, and the rails where he saw the end of steam. He transferred to CP Air in the mid 60's where he worked until he retirement. Predeceased by his daughter in 1960 and wife in 2002, he is lovingly remembered by brother Edward and sister Mary, both of Peterborough, England, sons David, Allan, and John, daughters-in-law Cornelia and Telma, grandchildren Gwen, Daniel and Devlyn and numerous nieces and nephews. An informal gathering of his family and friends to honor his memory and share stories and a toast will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at 9080 Garden City Road, in Richmond from 1 to 5PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
