Funeral for William Boyd “Blue” Fann, 81, of Huntsville will be Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Pressnell officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Fann died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville. He was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Madison County to Eulah Clebourne Fann and Ruth Emma Stevenson Fann. He was a salesman for Independent Life Insurance Co. He was a member of Flint Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Virgie Frances Graham Fann of Decatur; four daughters, Jeanne Newsom of Hartselle, Martha Green of Decatur, Debbie Cook of Arab, and Betty Cheatham of Hartselle; one brother, Charles Fann of Elkmont; two sisters, Edith Marlowe and Ann Brazelton, both of Huntsville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Todd Newsom, Brandon Stutts, Ashley Stutts, Donnie Green, Chad Long, Chuck Long, David Wallace and Tommy Brown.
