WILLIAMS Westley David Cricket Williams, 69, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014. He was born June 29, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Charles & Julia Williams. Cricket had lived in Jacksonville all of his life, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and will be dearly missed by all. He never met a stranger, painted and numbered some of the cars for Jax Raceway and was a man of many talents. Cricket was also a long time veteran of Jacksonville Flea and Farmers Market. He helped build the market and years later helped save it from a devastating fire that could have destroyed many people s livelihood. So you could say he was considered a HERO to some. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Williams; daughters, Crystal Graham (Randell), Luretia Thomas (Kenneth); brothers, Charles Cunningham, Joe Williams, Paul Williams; sisters, Virginia Hollis, Deborah Greene, Marion Hanper; grandchildren, Kegean Williams, Christina Warlick, Winter Thomas; a host of extended family and friends. Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 12 at 2PM at Duval Station Baptist Church, 13734 Lyle Road with Pastor Larry McGinley officiating. Interment will be by cremation. The family will receive friends on Friday beginning at 1PM at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 714-1110. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
