Wayne was retired from the United States Army and fought a valiant and lifelong battle with diabetes. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Whit Parker and stepson, Michael Alderman.He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathleen Walters Parker; step-daughter, Rachel (David) DuBose; mother, Pauline Parker; brothers, Paul (Barbara) Parker and Kenneth (Delores) Parker; sister, Carolyn (David) Peterson, all of Pensacola; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Larry) Armstrong of Pensacola and Barbara (Henry) Seestedt of W. Virginia; grandchildren, Michael Alderman Jr., Sierra, Breanna, Harmony, and Paco (Mike) Alderman, all of Pensacola; numerous nieces and nephews.Graveside service will be 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Barrancas National Cemetery with the Rev. Jeremy Lewis officiating. FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy is in charge of arrangements.The family wishes to express a special "Thank You" to Dr. Kazys Jankauskas and Dr. Layne Yonehiro for the many years of faithful care and attention shown to Wayne.
