DAVIS, WAYNE E., 82, of Louisville, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Baptist Hospital East. He was a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Tin Can Sailor aboard DE-582, the USS Metivier in the South Pacific. Mr. Davis retired as general manager and vice president of Sam Swope Pontiac and he was on the Board of Directors for Sam Swope Auto Group until 1999, and was a member of Anthony Lodge #455 in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Davis and Glenna Byers Cain; and his brother, Richard Davis. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, the former, June Lea Fuller; a son, David (Jamie) of Onemo, VA; a brother, Paul H. Davis (Phyllis) of Springfield, OH; and his grandchildren, Richard and Travis Davis of Lancaster, PA and Phoenix, AZ. respectively. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of the Pearson-Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Rd. in Middletown, KY. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be made to the Kosair Charities or the Ohio Masonic Home Original Endowment Fund, Five Masonic Dr., Springfield, OH 45504.
