WAYNE ANDERSON It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Anderson, 64, on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from brain cancer resulting from melanoma skin cancer. Wayne left this life as he lived it, quietly and peacefully surrounded by his wife and soulmate Diane and his children David and Jackie (Darrell). Wayne fought bravely for over 2 months and accepted his illness without complaint or rancour. Wayne was a loving and caring husband and father who adored his son and daughter and his beautiful granddaughter Alexis (Lexi) to whom he was the best Grumpa. Lexi adored her grandfather and she had an extraordinary place in his heart. Wayne also leaves his brother Ken, predeceased by his sister Gayle Ellis, his aunt Marge McDermott and his beloved cousin Jim McDermott. His nieces Kim Humphries, Cindy Galloro (Vince), nephew Craig and his great-nieces Noelle and Marina. Lovingly remembered by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosalyn and John Craig, Maurice and Ingrid Pringle and Alexis Houston, nieces Natalie and Emma, nephews Andrew, James, Iain and Alexander. He is sorely missed by his "fur kids". Maggie and Dugal, his constant companions. Wayne was born in the Parkdale area of Toronto in October 1947 the adored first son of Frederick (Fred) and Nina. He later moved to the Beach area of Toronto although he always considered himself a Parkdale boy. Wayne attended Parkdale Collegiate and later Malvern Collegiate. As a gas fitter, Wayne was a longtime employee of Enbridge and latterly of Direct Energy. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the many relatives, friends and neighbours who helped out in so many ways over the past months. Your support is greatly appreciated. A special thanks to Rosalyn Craig for her love and support and unselfish care of the family pets and home this past while. We love you.
