She was a foot soldier during the Civil Rights Movement and worked as an R.N. at Birmingham Family Wellness for 15 years. She is predeceased by her mother, Valeria Robinson Bailey, step-father, Leon L. Bailey and brother, Michael E. Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters: Anjanetta (Kenyata) Foster-Alexander, Alythia (Reginald) Foster-Powell, Aleria L. Foster, son, Jesse (Charlesette) Foster, II, Lincoln, NE; step-daughter, Chiquita Ash. sister, Sylvia Leonette Bailey-Townes of Atlanta, GA; brother, Larry (Omelia) Bailey; brother-in-law, Matthew (Gena) Knowles of Houston, TX; and 8 grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at First Memorial Baptist Church on Tues., Nov. 4, 2014 at 12pm with burial at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Aljajuan Moore will officiate.
