Wanda Mae Foster, the daughter of the late Clarence Jr. and Pearl D. Kirkey, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in Mercy Villa. Wanda was born June 11, 1920. She was united in marriage to Harold R. Foster Sr. on March 22, 1941. She retired from Foremost Dairy after 25 years, and was a dedicated member of the Berean Baptist Church, Springfield, Mo. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, grandsons Scotty and Craig Foster, two brothers, Clarence "Jr." Kirkey and Bill Kirkey, and two sisters, Pat White and Bette Harshman. Along with a host of friends and loved ones, Wanda is survived by two sons, Harold R. "Cap" Foster Jr., Steve Foster and wife, Christi; two daughters, Karren Householder and husband, Howard, Shiella O'Connor and husband, Tim; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother Richard Kirkey and wife, Mary Jo; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Kirkey. A special memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, March 14 in the chapel of Mercy Villa. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, March 14 in the funeral home. The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Mercy Villa for the loving care they gave to Mrs. Foster.
