WALTER LEEMILLER, 82General Motors HIGHLAND CITY - Walter Lee Miller, 82, of Highland City, passed away December 8, 2010 due to heart failure. Walter was born April 24, 1928 in Benham, KY to Jackson G. and Della (Hensley) Miller and moved to Polk County in 1981 from Rochester, MI. Walter is a General Motors retiree with over 30 years of employment and was a member of Auburndale Life Church. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Voyles, Edna Peavley, and a grandson, Paul Miller. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, F. Arbutus; his sons, Charles (Denise) Miller, David (Carole) Miller and W. Gary (Bonnie) Miller; sister, Lois Brundage and Mary Lou Couch, Bernice Bernard; his brother, Glenn Miller; grandchildren, Janine, Brian, Jason and Melanie Miller, Monica Rendon and Matthew and Bridget Greenan; and his great-grandchildren, Vanessia and Rebecca Pena, Myranda, Alyssa, Kyle, Devin and Brooke Miller, Joshua Rendon and Gavin Aranda. Friends will be received on Sunday, 12-12-10 from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm at the Lakeland Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens Chapel. Pastor Shane Simmons will officiate funeral services at 10am on Monday, 12-13-10 at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Burial Park.
