BILLERICA - Walter J. Mack, 75, a Korean War veteran and resident of Billerica for 34 years, died Wednesday, May 12, at Lowell General Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Nancy M. (Cordima) Mack.Born in Cambridge on Oct. 5, 1928, a son of the late Walter J. and Betsy (White) Mack, Mr. Mack served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Star and a United Nations Service Medal.He worked as an experimental machinist for 40 years with Polaroid Cop.Mr. Mack was a member of the Shiners.Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Douglas C. Mack of Billerica and John Sousa of Dedham; four daughters and a son-in-law, Gail F. and Lev Cela of Miami, Anna Maria Bellitti of Cambridge, Joanna Casey of Londonderry, N.H., and Diane Epstin of Lowell; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen McKinney of Somerville and Margaret "Margie" and Stanley Howe of Reading; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Mr. Mack was also the brother of the late John Mack, Mary D'Antilio and Isabella Carroll.
