DOUGLASS, Wade Anderson Died suddenly June 23, 2013 of a heart attack at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Claudia Douglass, to whom he was married for 51 years. Beloved father of Cullen E. Douglass (Kristen) and Anderson Douglass, both of Nashville. Beloved grandfather of Camryn, Harrison and Currey Douglass. Predeceased by his parents, Cullen E. Douglass and Elisabeth Anderson Douglass of Gallatin. He was the sixth generation of the Douglass family to live on Oak Haven Farm, raising registered Polled Hereford cattle. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1954 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and obtained an M.B.A. from New York University in 1962. His career was in marketing management for Westinghouse Electric, Ball Brothers, and Rollins Steel Company. His passions were his family, the Presbyterian Church, his Scottish heritage, traveling throughout Scotland, cooking superb meals, baking bread, and lively conversations about history, economics and politics. He was a man of selfless and noble character, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3900 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37205.
