Willie Earl Jackson passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 in Atlanta, GA. He was born January 17, 1949, in Headland, Alabama to Leamon and the late Bernice Jackson. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1967, completed his military service in the United States Army and afterward entered and graduated from Savannah State College in Savannah, GA. Willie Earl joined the Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, at an early age, under the leadership of Dr. W. O. Wells, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Leamon Jackson, Sr., Cocoa, FL; son, Maurice Jenkins, daughter-in-law and grandchildren, Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Leamon Earl Jackson (Annette), Willie Frank Jackson (Bessie) and Charles Jackson, Cocoa, FL; three sisters, Bernestine Fuller (Rick), Annise Whisonant (Larry) and Phyllis Sanders (Charlie), Cocoa, FL; a devoted and caring ex-wife, Darlene Jackson, Atlanta, GA; four aunts, Ophelia Pierce, Kissi Wilborn, Decatur, GA, Ruby Lee Jackson, Dothan, AL and Annie C. Herring, Birmingham, AL; one uncle, Freeman Jackson, Dothan, AL; a faithful sister-in-law, Debra Watkis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who will miss him greatly. A viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, October 14 at Stone Funeral Home, 516 W. King Street, Cocoa, FL, and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 15, at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, 213 Stone Street, Cocoa, FL.
