William R. "Bill" Malone, 68, of Portland, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2003, at University of Louisville Hospital following a motorcycle accident. He was a retired employee of A.L. Ball Moving & Storage. He is survived by three sons and their wives, William R. Jr. and Carolyn Malone, Ervey E. and Debbie Malone and Phillip D. and Milissa Ann Malone; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. "Bill was a devoted father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by family and friends." Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons, 2114 W. Market St., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday and 1-9 p.m. Thursday.
