SMITH, Wilbert Lee 'Smitty', age 73, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away Friday, Sep-tember 13, 2002. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Septemb-er 21, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. From The Bright and Morning Star Baptist Church in Verbena, AL. Rev. Natha-niel Smith officiating. Burial will fol-low in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Smith served in the United States Army 23 years and was awarded 'The Silver Star' for his actions in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ar-thurine Wilson. Survivors include five children, Deborah Singleton, De-nise Smith and Demetrious Smith Pruitt, all of Montgomery, AL, Wilbert Smith, Jr. (Ronda) and Steve Smith, both of Stock Bridge, GA; one grandchild, Kennedy-Ashley McNeil of Montgomery; mother, Maggie Smith of Verbena, AL; two sisters and brothers and a host of re-latives and friends.Agee Brother's Funeral HomeClanton, AL, Directing
