Vivian Sirmon Lee, 95, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, May 3, at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Elmer Lee for 38 years. Mrs. Lee was born in Dozier, Ala., and also raised and educated there. She was a graduate of Troy State Teachers College. She later taught at Vidett, Ala. and Chumuckla, Fla. schools for several years. After raising her family, Mrs. Lee went back to work as an office manager for a medical practice, located in Milton, Fla. She retired and later moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1992. Mrs. Lee enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Mrs. Lee is survived by her son, Robert and wife, Marilyn Lee of Jacksonville, Fla.; son, Sirmon and wife, Tina Lee, of Mobile, Ala.; daughter, Sally and husband, Forrest Townsend of Fort Walton Beach; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Sirmon of Madison, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by both of her parents, three brothers and a sister. A time of visitation will be at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road, N. E., Fort Walton Beach (864-3361), on Wednesday, May 6, from 11:30 to 1 p.m., with Funeral Services at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery, Milton, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the Fort Walton Beach Church of Christ Building Fund, 232 Hollywood Blvd., S. E., Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.
