Vivian Mae Johnson (nee McKenzie)Vivian Mae Johnson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Royal University Hospital. Vivian was born on May 7, 1934 in Clarksburg, Ontario to Donald and Belva (nee Long) McKenzie. She grew up and went to school in Laura, Saskatchewan. After marrying L.B. "Blondy" Johnson in 1949, they lived at Hill's Farm near Laura before living for a few years in Tessier and Kinley. They ultimately moved to Tessier where they ran the Johnson Motors for 40 years, Johnson's Store and the Post Office for 50 years. The Tessier Post Office has now been in the Johnson family for over 100 years. Vivian loved music and dancing and she could spend hours visiting with friends and family. She especially loved her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as Little Grandma or Little G. Vivian is survived by her son, Ken (Brenda: Brad and Boomer (Alexis: Gavin and MacKenna); daughter, Karen (Bill: Joelle and Erin) Haffermehl; son, Laurie; son, Don (Melody: Jennifer (Joe: Courtney and Dominic) Lizotte, Melissa (David: Terrance, Alexa, Aimee and Rylan) May, Kimberly (Chris: Kianna, Hayley, Ashton, Baby #4) Osmond and Krystal Johnson (Trevor). She is also survived by her sister, Louise Valade; brother-in-law, Walter Johnson; sisters-in- law, Kay (Harry) Mills and Inga Bazylewski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Blondy (2010); her brother-in-law, Gerald Valade (2005); and her parents, Donald (1982) and Belva (1985). A Celebration of Vivian's Life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Balzer officiating at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon.
