Virginia-W. Smith, née en 1920, conjointe de Bob Smith, est décédée le 19 novembre 2011 à l'âge de 91 ans.
Virginia W. Smith (nee Williams), age 91 of Mantua, NJ died Saturday, November 19, 2011. Born and raised in Blackwood, she moved to Mantua in 1951 to establish Smith Funeral Home with her late husband, Bob. She lived in Mantua until the past 18 months when health concerns forced her to move into the caring environment of assisted living at Woodbury Mews. Many years ago she worked as School Secretary at the George Lewis School in Gloucester Twp. She was a member of the Mantua Methodist Church and the Fellowship Class. She later arranged dual membership and joined the congregation at Trinity Methodist Church in Mullica Hill. For many years she and Bob enjoyed travelling and camping in their motor home. She also enjoyed wildlife and particularly watching the birds and deer that frequented her yard. Virginia was extremely proud of her family. She lovingly supported them in all their activities and was passionate about supporting the family business. Wife of the late Robert C. Smith Jr., she is survived by her children Robert C. (Patti) Smith 3rd, of Wenonah, Daniel N. (Terri) Smith Sr. of Mantua, Carlene (Chuck) Visalli of Mullica Hill, grandchildren, Kim (Doug) Wagner, Dan (Crissy) Smith Jr, Christy & Shelby Smith, CJ & Becky Visalli and great granddaughters, Kaylee & Suzee Wagner & Lexi Smith. Relatives and friends may visit with the family 4 - 8 PM Friday, November 25 and 9:30 - 11 AM Saturday, November 26 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ where funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Interment will be in Eglington Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com. Contributions may be made to the Memorial Funds of Mantua Methodist Church or to Trinity Methodist Church.
