LLOYD, Virginia W. "Ginni," 80, of Virginia Beach, Va., died peacefully June 23, 2008, after several years of declining health. Born March 23, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she moved with her family to Norfolk, Va., with the start of World War II. After graduating from Granby High School in Norfolk, Va., she married Ellwood J. Lloyd, her husband of 57 years, in August 1947. They moved in 1950 to Northbrook, Ill., where they lived until retirement in 1986. She enjoyed playing pinochle, baking, gardening, traveling, corresponding and entertaining. In July 1986, she and her husband moved to Brooksville, Fla., where she resumed many of the same activities. After the death of her husband, she moved to Virginia Beach, Va., to be closer to family in December 2005. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Lloyd-Zannini, and husband, Lou, of Virginia Beach, Va., and grandson, Timothy Lloyd-Zannini. She was predeceased by her husband, Ellwood J. Lloyd, May 9, 2004 and by her son, Steven Allen Lloyd, December 18, 1972. No memorial service is planned. Memorials may be made to the Crystal Cathedral Ministries, P.O. Box 100, Garden Grove, CA 92842. Burial will be at Bushnell National Cemetery in Sumter County, Fla., with her husband.
