Virginia Tollison Johnson, 91, widow of Charles Henry Johnson, formerly of Ottaway Drive, died March 25, 2002. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Jack Decatur and Elmer Davis Tollison. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and was with Royal Cleaners for many years. She was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church for over fifty years, where she taught in the Primary Department of the Sunday School for 25 years. She frequently attended Augusta Heights Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jack Mobley, of Columbia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. James L. and Mary Frances Johnson of Powdersville, Ben and Wilma Johnson of Greenville, and Larry and Diane Johnson of Greenville; 10 grandchildren, Charles Elton "Chet" Johnson, Mary Beth Bussell, Margaret Virginia Wilson, Benjamin Earl Johnson Jr., Thomas Charles Johnson, Frances Marguerite "Marty" Frazier, Brian Thomas Johnson, Amey Anne Chambers, Laura Elizabeth Gaillard and Jane Grayson Hart; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Mackey Mortuary, with the Rev. Howard Wimmer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family is at their respective homes, and will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the mortuary. - The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
