UntitledVIRGINIA MINSHEW TAYLOR1919-2009Virginia Minshew Taylor, 90, of Pensacola entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father on July 21, 2009.She was born April 15, 1919 to the late Russell and Viola Minshew, and spent her entire life in this area. In 1940 she married Clarence Taylor who preceded her in death in 2008. A devoted Christian, she spent many years teaching Sunday School at the First Baptist Church of Pensacola and later at Midway Baptist Church where she was a member at the time of her death. She was also active in the Federation of Garden Clubs and the Auxiliary of Gideons InternationalIn addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Raymond, and sisters: Gladys Wright, Mary Emma Wilson, and Helen Shambeau.She is survived by three sons: Jim and his wife Margie, Bob and his wife Martha, Bill and his wife Glenna; daughter-in-law, Dale Taylor. Six grandchildren: John (Becki) Taylor, Mark Taylor, Traci Taylor (Will) Hart, Christopher Taylor, Blair Taylor, Glenn Taylor, Barrett Taylor, Elizabeth Lewis and William Lewis. Five Great-Grandchildren: Sara Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Anna Lily Taylor, Virginia Hart, and Wyatt Hart. She is also survived by a brother, Fermon Minshew and his wife Helen. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, July 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home with Dr Ted Traylor officiating. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pall bearers. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangememts.
