Untitled VIRGINIA "GINNY" SMYTH 1937 - 2009 Virginia "Ginny" Smyth of Pensacola, passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 She was a native of Spartanburg, PA, but has been a resident of Pensacola area for the past 34 years. Mrs. Smyth was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. She was a homemaker who volunteered with numerous organizations including Bellview Volunteer Fire Department, Trauma Intervention Program, and the Pensacola Police Department. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, James Don Smyth. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Denise Casey and her children, John Casey Jr., J.D. Casey, Leah Casey, and Sean Casey; two sons, Michael Eric Smyth and Patrick J. Smyth, his wife Fran Smyth, their two children, Samantha Smyth-Chandler and Rosemary Smyth; two sisters, Lila Scott and Julieanne Williamson; two brothers, Melvin Bewley and Graeme Bewley; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. There will be a memorial service on Friday, September 18 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home on Beverly Parkway. There will be a visitation at 6:00 PM and a service at 6:30 PM.
