Virginia Louise Barton Smith, 84, of Greenville, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 . Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late James C. Barton and Lizzie T. Jones Barton. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and member of Powdersville First Baptist Church. Surviving are; a daughter, Deborah and husband, Larry Rumfelt, of Powdersville; a son, Riggie C. and wife Jane Smith of Greenville; three sisters, Hattie Dunn and Mellie Vickery of Greenville and Ollie Garrison, of Easley; one brother, Jerry Barton of Greenville; four grandchildren, Casey Woods, Clay Smith, Kimberly Hill and Lindsey Smith; two great grandchildren, Maggie and Grant Woods. She was predeceased by husband, Master Sergeant Clayton C. Smith; one grandchild, Matthew Rumfelt; two brothers, James C. and Jack Barton.Visitation will be Monday, July 12, 2010 from 7:00 - p.m - 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The service will be Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.
