Mrs. Virginia Rozell Smith, of 611 Old Augusta Road, Greenville, SC, departed this life on Friday, February 19, 2010.Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late John Maxwell and Mable Collier Perkins. Survivors: husband, Walter F. Smith; three daughters; Violeita Smith Irby of Simpsonville, Waltina Smith Dirton and Carol Smith (Barron) Searles, both of Greenville. She is survived by one sister, Indiana (Douglas) Thomas of Greenville; five brothers: Joe M. Perkins of Greenville, Bennie F. Perkins of Spartanburg, S.C., Raymond (Bernice) Perkins of Greenwood, S.C., Owen (Ruth) Perkins of Greenville, S.C., and Grady (Natalie) of Garner, N.C.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church with burial at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. The family will be at the residence. Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary.
