Virginia Campbell Smith, 77, of Belton, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at the Hospice House, Anderson, S.C. Born on Oct. 5, 1927, in Laurens, she was the daughter of the late William V. and Ione T. Campbell. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billy C. Campbell and C. Edwin Campbell. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Norman W. Smith; five children and their spouses, Keith and Beth Smith of Richmond, Va., Kaye and Stephen Morrow of Cleveland, Tenn., Jerry and Donna Smith of Belton, Dennis and Janet Smith of Newberry, and Donna Bradberry of Anderson; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters and four brothers and their spouses, Thomas and Kathryn Campbell of Laurens, Frances and Gordon Thackston of Simpsonville, Mary Jane and Warren Templeton of Spartanburg, John H. Campbell of Greenville, Taylor and Joyce Campbell of Greenwood, and Cecil and Ann Campbell of Boyce, Va.; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Campbell and Debbie Campbell of Gray Court. She was a partner in Smith's Accounting and Income Tax Service for more than 30 years, was a member of Belton First Baptist Church, the Martha Adams Kay Sunday School Class, and for over 20 years served as active teacher and leader of the church's youth. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Belton First Baptist Church, with Rev. T. Dale Lynch and Dr. Booker Bagby officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at Cox Funeral Home, Belton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry, P.O. Box 366, Belton, SC 29627; or to Callie and John Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at their home on E. Calhoun Road. Condolences may be sent to P.O.
