Virginia Leatrice Shipp Smith, widow of Ronald C. Smith, of 231 Melton Road, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at Anderson Area Medical Center. Born in Miami, Fla., she was a daughter of the late James David and Louzella Demerit Shipp. She was a retired nurse and was of the Catholic faith. Survivors: A son, Floyd Mizzles Jr., of Spotsylvania, Va.; daughters, Irene Ormand of Walhalla, and Darlene Patz of Charlotte; a brother, James D. Shipp, of Lake Placid, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 6 to 8 tonight at The McDougald Funeral Home. Service: 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
