SMITH, Virginia Weldon, 88, longtime resident of Tampa, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2004. Preceded in death by her husband William P. Smith, she is survived by three nieces, Jacqueline Simpson Gunby, Jill Simpson Knapp and Patty Simpson Polo, all of Tampa; nine great nieces; and two great nephews. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Florida State College For Women. She was an elementary school teacher at Roosevelt and Dale Mabry for over 29 years. Memberships included A O Pi Sorority and Delta Kappa Gamma Professional Sorority. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 14th, at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
