EVANS, Ga. - Entered into rest at Doctors Hospital on May 5, 2003, Mrs. Virginia Morris Smith of Evans. Mrs. Smith lived all of life in Columbia County. She was retired from Kick 99 Radio as business manager and worked at Augusta Civic Center for years. She was the daughter of the late Sheriff Herman Morris and Annie Baston Morris of Columbia County. Funeral service will be held at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park. Family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home between the hours 6-8 p.m. Survivors are one son, Darrell Freeman, Evans; one daughter, Lisa Jones, Martinez; one son-in-law, Robbie Jones, Martinez; one daughter-in-law, Terri Freeman, Evans; five grandchildren, Brad Freeman, Bryan Freeman, Brent Freeman, Evans, Randi Jones, Taylor Jones, Martinez.
