ObituaryVirginia Irene Miller-Mauk, 83 of Fort Myers, Florida died September 6, 2006. Born in Dayton RD #2, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Jim, her husband, spent the majority of their life in Rochester, New York. In 1985 they retired to Clearwater, Florida and in 2004 they moved to Fort Myers to live with their daughter, Cheryl.Virginia graduated from the Kittanning, Pennsylvania Business College and was a Past Matron and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was very active in her community-volunteering in Masonic Lodge work, church, and with the Girl Scouts. Survivors include her husband, James F Mauk Jr., a daughter, Cheryl Herbst of Fort Myers, Florida, a son, James F Mauk III of Fairport, NY, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many friends. She will be missed by all. A celebration of life service will be held at Lamb of God Church, 19691 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33912 on Sunday, September 17th at 2 pm. Harvey-Engelhardt-Metz Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Donations can be made to Lamb of God Church.
